As part of Merrick School District’s celebration of the 100th day of school, kindergartners at Chatterton School dressed as if they were 100 years old while participating in activities that incorporated the number 100.

Students rotated between centers set up in each of the school’s four kindergarten classrooms. In one classroom, they built structures from 100 Legos, while in another they built from simple materials, including plastic cups, to form a tower. In another room, students focused on physical fitness by performing 100 exercises, and in a fourth classroom they grouped items of 10 to make 100!

Students in Merrick’s Birch and Levy Lakeside schools also celebrated the 100th day in fun, productive fashion. Happy 100th day to all!
