Merrick Schools are celebrating Month of the Military Child and Family.

To recognize the importance of celebrating and honoring military connected families and their children, administration and staff made valuable connections with students.

At Lakeside on April 12, students and staff wore purple, made special announcements, and signed purple hearts to be displayed on each door.

On April 19 at Chatterton, students wore purple in support and honor of military families.

On April 19 at Birch, students wore purple to honor military families. The Student Council also decorated the sidewalk with positive messages to support military children.

Thank you to all our retired and active military families and first responders for their service and sacrifice.
