Levy Lakeside School once again hosted a successful Community Read Aloud on Feb. 5, where local business leaders, community members and other school family members were invited to read to classes.

To kick off PARP (Pick a Reading Partner Week), guests gathered for a welcome breakfast ahead of their personal reading experience.

Lakeside kicked off their PARP 2024 with the theme of “Cheer on a Good Book” for the Super Bowl time of year.

Organized jointly by the Lakeside PTA and school, Librarian Melissa Levine selected stories that reflect the Levy Lakeside values of making an impact on others.

“Through imparting a love for books and reading, we can all make a difference and touch the lives of children through sharing meaning messages, valuable knowledge and pure enjoyment from reading books,” added Levine ahead of the individual book readings. “I am fortunate to share my love for books and reading without students every day, but today I am especially excited to tun the playing field over to you.”
