Sixth graders from the Levy Lakeside School thumbnail255531

On Feb. 14, all the sixth graders from the Levy Lakeside School participated in their annual service project, a sandwich-a-thon. The sandwich-a-thon is an amazing way to help people with food insecurity. The students all donated a pound of meat, cheese, and a loaf of bread for all those people in need. In addition, our PTA and student council donated funds to help purchase cold cuts and bread. All the sandwiches that the students made were donated to The River Fund. After working hard and making sandwiches all morningthey made approximately 2,000 sandwiches! This was theperfect day to spread some love on Valentine’s Day. It made everyone who participated feel so good to know they made so many people’s day. We would also like tothank all the parents, and teachers who helped to make this happen.
